Asavvi had followed her brother when he left their mother’s side but was content to let him race ahead of her. She trailed after him, as she often did, enjoying the familiarity of her surroundings. Her prim little trot carried her over the sands she knew well and it never occurred to her to rush over them; she would get there when she got there and no one had called her to hasten. She slowed when she needed where here father stood in conference with the Khal and kept watch on Einarr for notice that she should not approach. Her brother had already butted into the conversation, she saw, and two other fillies had already approached to the little star-seeker assumed she was safe and drew up beside her father.
“M’athchomaroon, Khal vezhven.” Her soft voice was solemn as she bowed her head to Gaucho, for she had as much a liking and predilection for formality as her twin had disregard for it. She turned her eyes on the slightly smaller fillies and with a polite smile gave her a nod as well. “Akka yer hash jin eshna khalakkis? Layafi shilolat shafka.”
With the formal greetings [the most sacred and essential of duties] done she turned her cool grey eyed up at her father with an adoring gaze. “M’ath, Ave.” She murmured, little louder that a dove’s coo, and sidled closer to him. With her little wings tucked demurely along her back, Asavvi stood by her father's side, only sneaking curious glance back at the other pair of fillies when she thought no one was looking, eyes narrowed at her comment on her twin's size. She sent a quick glance at her twin, as smug as the guileless little girl was capable of being, as if to say ‘See? that’s how you make a good impression!’ Let Nizho carry the big sticks, she could speak softly enough for the both of them.
