I had a dream you were two towns from me —

She listened as the Dorobian spoke of holding tongues. An eyebrow raised briefly in his direction but allowed the words to pass, a slight crooked smile danced upon her cream lips as he spoke of a remarkable hand that fate had played. Her gaze swung from him to Rein as her son welcomed the newcomer. Though the Thief took note that Kiuaji had avoided her welcoming – as if he knew that she had hurt Tembovu somehow. A bit of tension grew thick under her hide, but she wore it away with stride. Straightening her posture a bit, she then let her gaze fall upon the Elephant King as he lowered his head to her son – speaking his name. It was almost as though a pang of guilt swept through her.

She would’ve given everything for the child to have been his.

But that was also selfish.

She loved her son because of who he was. If his father was different, then little Rein would have been remarkably different as well. Who’s to say what could have happened? Surely not a single being here. And as Tembovu addressed the Thief with a hardened tongue, she dipped her golden crown to the man she ~~loved~~. Her smile fading slightly as her gaze did their best to capture his sapphire pools. “Thank you.” Her voice was nearly hushed toward the end as she craned her neck away from him then, nodding to Aji as if a goodbye before lowering her crowned head to Rein. She nudged him gently with her velvet muzzle as if to tell him to come along.

“So what else would you like to explore?” She questioned the colt briefly as she moved away from him – back through the thick of the trees that she had emerged from. Knowing that the colt wouldn’t leave her this time.

"Talk."

spent the whole night running.
