"I’m sorry” Dacianna imitated the voice of Mauja and then snorted before coming to a halt and dramatically casting her gaze to the night sky  “why did I get involved, why” she asked of the stars. For the whole westward journey she had cursed him for looking so pitiful that he had attracted her attention and pulled her into his misery. She had felt sorry for him in the end, but his desperate state had annoyed her to the point she had gotten angry with him, this stranger. If only she wasn’t so nosy, if only her heart would be still and not worry over others. It had happened before, in the Rift when she had helped that funny looking sea horse from the twisted shark monster, why was she so incapable of keeping herself to herself?! A long sigh drifted from her sooty lips as she thought back to the mourning stallion kneeling in the sand “I only wanted to know if he was going to be okay” and just like that she had dragged herself into his situation, probably making it worse rather than better.
 
Dacianna hadn’t quite expected him to react to her pushing around and her taunting, she thought maybe it might bring a little fire back into his cold existence, but she wasn’t quite anticipating a kick to the chest. He had knocked her out briefly, but she had gotten back up in the end, bruised and winded, but okay nevertheless. At least he had felt something, she hoped, Dacianna had certainly felt something. “Ahhh idiot, idiot, idiot” she cried, shaking her head and feeling quite embarrassed about the whole ordeal. “Forget about him” she commanded of herself and she took in another deep breath, giving the chilly, starry night a last forlorn look before tripping over something hard.
 
She stumbled forwards before regaining her balance and frowned, casting an unimpressed look towards an innocent appearing piece of glass on the floor. Glass? What was that doing here? Her expression changed to wonder then as she began to look upwards and saw what looked like the remains of a glass wall. Slowly, she walked towards it and looked at her blurred reflection that was barely visible, “did someone really make this?” even though it was a ruin, Dacianna had never seen anything like it before. Even in the distorted reflection she could see her snowy mane. It was a strange thing that had always happened, whenever the season turned colder her hair turned to white except from, that was, the gold strands that still remained their precious colour. 

The nights here were frosty and so was her hair. 
 
Looking around, she noticed a thick forest up ahead and it presented a rather foreboding feeling in the darkness of the night. She had travelled west like the two friendly mares, Alysanne and Iona, had told her to in attempt to find a place called the Worlds Edge. The only descriptor she had was something to do with sea cliffs, but she had yet to find such a place, but part of her worried that she might end up walking off it if she didn’t know where she was going and there wasn’t much light after all. 
 
So she decided to take up residence for a little while next to the glass wall ruins and wait to see if a friendly soul might pop by and enlighten her to where exactly the Worlds Edge began. Or at least, if no one came, it would be better to travel by daylight.
