MOONLIGHT caresses the carmel mare's hide as her structure wanders parallel the ocean. Eldala had left her land neither for work nor in search of a meeting. Lately, life had been passing the mare by at the speed of a pelican diving for its dinner. The diving pelican might have missed her for its dinner but the impact with ocean had near drowned her soul. Her little being had been pushed around, torn apart, thrown into the surf, and pulled her back out again over the course of the last few months and her soul was heavy with the residual water.  When one has fallen into the ocean, with yet a long trek home, the only thing to do is  to find a place to plug in your blow dryer and proceed to blow away the wet.

Tonight, self-reflection was her chosen appliance and logic the thing to work through the tangles. She needed this serene silence in order to work it all through. The little mare's steps eroded behind her, forgotten in the night, while the path before her remained empty. All she had was the moment she was in; the feeling of the sand slipping away beneath her hooves, her hide becoming sticky with the salt, and her breath losing itself in the wind. Eldala, after a time, finds the tangles of fear and guilt lessening as her soul becomes more smooth. Still, she treads softly and contemplates what she really wanted to do with her life(Who among us could say to not have not done this same thing?).

It was in this speculative state that the mare wanders, vaguely playing in the shallow surf, until she finds herself to be no longer alone. Blue eyes had looked up at the most opportune moment for she was still a decent, non-offensive distance away. /Hey, good job Eldala, you didn't run into anyone this time!/ The stallion was taller than her(Though they all were, really) and much paler. From this distance she shallowly dips the peak of her structure and offers a quiet, "Good evening."
