Driving me insane
But the wind and the land and the fire and the rain
Always stay the same"
-Roll With the Wind

Caenan had not scented wind of nor seen a hair of the stallion he was meant to spar with. He found that there was disappointment in this but he also felt glee in the failure of another to act. Caenan had pledged himself to protecting members of the World's Edge and he would give his all to the members but that did not mean that he felt the desire to remain as he was. The pirate had not given himself easily and in order to cope with feeling as though he had lost some of his freedom he was determined to climb up the ranks. If this Lithium fellow did not show it was only one other that he would not have to compete with for a higher rank.

Glass cracked beneath his hooves as the bay stepped past the Edge's border. He tossed his head and took deep breaths. The air outside of the herd land was of a different kind than what was breathed only a few steps into the border. The air outside of herd borders was without loyalty to any. It was quick to rise into a wind and to tangle itself in Caenan's mane and tail. It dragged him forward by both until he was racing the wind itself. It was as though the wind was just as excited by Caenan's leaving the Edge for the day as the stallion himself was.

The unicorn ran until the fickle wind died down once more. He wondered if the wind had led him to where he stood because to him it looked to be a perfect place to spar. With sharp eyes Caenan surveyed where he had chosen to practice. He took note of every dip in the ground and every rock that jutted out. To get his blood pumping Caenan dug up and rolled some of the rocks he worried about posing a threat towards a large boulder and out of the way. Though he did purposely leave some that he hoped to use to his advantage. By the time that he finished the sun had risen to its peak in the sky causing the frost that had gathered during the night to flee. Sunlight fell through the gaps in the trees and lit the area but it was too lazy to completely warm the cool Orangemoon afternoon.

"Someone 'ave a spar!" He pawed into the ground, "Just make it worth my time." A sly smirk set his eyes to shining. If no one would take him up on his offer he would provoke the first that he set eye on.

Caenan felt as though he could have the advantage in this fight. He had already came to be well acquainted with the land and he was not the most agile. His hope was that the forest debris would slow one that may be more agile than he. Whenever Caenan could slow his opponents his strength and defense did him well.

Setting: Not far from the border going into the World's Edge. There are trees scattered about with a large boulder in the middle. There is a dead tree that that fell and lays diagonally across the ground. Something kind of like this except without so much on the ground. Not as green either.

It is during the afternoon.

Attack Count: 0/3

Word Count: 495

Timeline: Normal.

Other: Magic and Companion usage is fine with me.

Notes: @Ashamin if you want the first attack you can have it. Posts will hopefully get better from here. I had a heck of a time opening. I think that I included everything here in OOC.
