Frostfall had come in quickly. Or, at least, it had seemed that way to the mare who had sectioned herself off from most of the herd for a little while. Still, she had emerged from her makeshift cocoon much stronger than before. So, she moved around the herd land, taking in the frozen lands with the covering of snow- and leaving a trail of maroon glitter wherever she went. From far away, the deep red might appear as blood, but upon closer inspection it was easy to see that it was most certainly not something to be concerned about.
Valiance easily spun around before her. For once, he even decided to play in the snow. His tail swiping up chunks of it and tossing it in the air. A gentle laugh left Resplendence’s lips before Valiance circled back around. He had heard something, but couldn’t make it out. So, shooting back off toward the sound he found himself right on top of the painted stag and his cat companion. ”Apollo!” he alerted Res, who instantly turned around and headed back toward the stag. She found him wrapped around the companion with his eyes shut. The cold had to be sinking into his hide, and she was most certainly afraid that he would garner some form of hypothermia in this mess. ”Apollo?” she said, voice quiet and hesitant – nightmares of deaths she couldn’t stop. ”Apollo, you’re going to freeze to death out here. Come back to my hut, you can rest there if you need to…” Carefully, she dropped her maw down, to press it against his shoulder and try and pull him from the lull of sleep. Oh, long time no see. And while she was worried about his health, she was still so glad to know that he was back home where he belonged. |
