If she had been any other creature she might have been a little disheartened. The creatures of this world, though fascinating, didn’t seem to hang around long. They all seemed to have their own business to be about. Busy bees. Yes, that’s what this silly creatures were. Still those silly creatures were talking, interacting creatures, and the poor girl was finding herself rather missing that after having a taste of it again. Not to mention her journey north had brought nothing terribly wonderful. The girl had been ecstatic to find the curious white fluffy stuff on the earth, yet not so ecstatic to learn it was so cold. Her wings had kept close to her sides for warmth ever since. Yet she went on. Still, as was said she was not disheartened by this. Instead it was whisked away as but a fly. The ocean pearl was graced with a colorful imagination, and in this she now sought her own comfort.

Across Helovia’s melting snows the ocean pearl wandered. She nearly faded into the backdrop with her pearl of a coat, but the blue kept her in sight. Her gait was a cheerful trot, with feathers fluffed for balance and warmth, and her tasseled tail whisking at the snow she kicked up. It was a pleasant sight, but the one she had in her mind was much lovelier. In her eye the snow in which she sunk was only sand, only it was quick to sink her deep. So the girl must stretch out in her gait and move with speeding grace to keep from being caught. Ah now this was a much more wonderful day. A trot along the beach feeling every muscle pull. You see the girl though she was excited to explore this world was still caught in the homesickness for her own terrain, though she’d never admit it.

No that innocent little girl would never admit, or even had the mind to think how lonely, cold, and tired she really was. Or even to ponder on how much she missed her home, and especially Virgil (oh where was he!?).  Her own imagination, so powerful after years of doing this same exact exercise, was quick to wash it away into a happier world. And yet, the breeze which followed her where ever she walked had lost the edge of its playfulness. At least though one of her unspoken woes was to soon have a solution.

The pearl was dancing across her enchanting beach when a cloud passed over the sun. Her curled ears pull back confused, for no cloud should pass in her home. When she looks though she see not a cloud but Monster! Quick the girl jerks back, wings flare out (though steel blades stay in their hold, apparently they contained more sense the girl), and she snorts at the monster which had jumped at her. Her terror, which was mostly fueled by her playfulness, was soon put to rest. It wasn’t a monster, but a rock formation, jutting out of the snowy landscape. Yet what she had thought was a gapping mouth was in fact a hole, descending into the depths. And around the base the snow was completely melted, with heat radiating out from the gap. She needed no other invitation. Still snorting and alert the playful girl walks with an alert step into the hollow.

The heat soothed over her weary bones and cause a shiver to run down her spine. Oh that felt so wonderful to be warm again. As she walked through the caverns, exploring sights never seen her imagination began to run away with her again. The stalactites and stalagmites as a result began to get names. Of course the girl hadn’t seen a great deal of the world. So volcano, tree leaf, and other such simple names were all she had, but she still delighted in them. The breeze at her back picking up to be filly playful again against the still of the cave.  A roar began to fill her curled ears as she headed further back and the pearl followed it curiously.

Into the Sunken Falls room she came, and the sight was nearly too much for the girl who was easily wondered. The water rushing down from such great heights left her in awe, and the light dancing about the cavern and even across her was simple but beautiful. Slowly the girl took the cavern in, and when she came to the water’s edge the girl can not ignore her desires. Her refined head lowers to the waters edge and find it cool but wholesome. At last it was all looking up, not that the girl ever noticed.

OOC:: Come meet the lonely girl. =]
