Ru blinks briefly, the curl of her darkened lips provide a small grin that flows upon her features. She does not expect the rigid response of her prey, the sharp and mannered edges of the one who stands attention before her. The youth cannot help the giggle that rolls forth once more, lacing the air with the jovial tune of a wayward voice – if you could call it one. It was not smooth, and hinged as it cracked open. Her giggles were not the same as the other children, they were broken in a mild discourse, however, managed to sing out with its intended tone. It paled in comparison to the mare's response, her voice softened and molded into a song that suited her particular grace. One that seemed alien in the way her coat shimmered with a metallic hint, a coolness that wasn't entirely absorbed by the dancing light about them. Not quite one color, but many others converged and warped into highlights and dancing shadow. The child merely tilted her head, her excitement blooming underneath the pools of her eyes, hidden in giddy anticipation. Who was she? And why was she alone? Those depths became hungry, searching the stranger's delicate features.
The whip of the mare's tail distracts the youth. She squeaks and stretches her neck to look behind the mare. Stepping once to give it a better look – though the action is brief as the bow is made. About to do the same with a hum of approval, the mare seems to shy away. Something beyond Ru's grasp has wrestled her prey away. The child merely chirped, rewarded by the mare's bright and sudden voice. The grin disperses, the child nods with a light and content smile.
She shuffles in her spot, not accustomed to standing so still. Rather, bounding to and fro, submerging her focus elsewhere for the whims of the world's vagrant pulls. She's surprised by another bow, ears twitching with the sound of her name. Dipping her head with a regality the girl could not quite place. It appeared uncomfortable, frankly; brows furrowed as her eyes stared at her quizzically. And it was only then that the girl had noticed the slight changes of the air; but she thought nothing of its magical properties. Shrugging it off as a natural cause, she nods her head vigorously. Taking a deep breath, pausing – as if she suddenly remembered something – she squealed and dipped her head in greetings. As was customary of Ru, she hummed a light, crackling tune from the bottom of her throat. Less disruptive as her giggles, before she stepped closer to nudge Adria on her shoulder. A small part, tucked behind her mind relieved for the company. And how mysterious and magical this company was proving to be!
Ru moved to skirt around to the side. Approaching the water, while grazing her eyes upon her. As if all of it was nothing more than a daydream. Adria remained an unlikely illusion with her peculiar mannerisms, unearthly and unbound by what the youth knew of this world. What more was there to learn from such discoveries?
Ignoring the fact that she had yet to say anything, she whisked her attention back upon the water. Dipping her head cautiously to its restless form, before plunging a mouthful with a grunt. She pulled her muzzle out, shaking the water vigorously- it was cold! Another squeal, heightened and louder than before pinched the air. She shot the mare a playful glance. Eyes alighted by the shimmer cascading underneath the yearling, before raising herself up on her hind limbs, and lunging into the water with the pure intention of splashing her.
Somehow, this seemed like a productive and logical action to take. The mare wouldn't mind a little fooling around, would she?
