She saw the creature rise from the sea. The unexpected movement had caught her attention as she crested a sandy dune and because it was so very unexpected if pt and end to the routine patrol and gave her a target of focus. She was perhaps a quarter mile and the hawk-eyed Sultana stopped to watch the progression up onto the beach. The horse (at least it looked mostly like a horse was dragging a strange disk-fish up from the depths in a sight that was utterly baffling and down right alarming. The southern reaches of her home were not so often visited, even by residents and so to see a silhouette she did not recognize doing strange and dubious things with a fish was definitely cause for alarm.
She approached with caution, eyeing the figure as it started slicing up it’s catch. It seemed to be eating(?) the fish and that was strange enough; unnerved the Sultana’s ears fell back and her posture shifted to an intimidating if not downright aggressive mode. Head low and wings high and flared, she moved forward, stopping a safe distance away. Meg did not even venture to suspect that the striped mare had ventured here by sea, even with the rest that would have seemed to farfetched. In that case, she very much wanted to know how the stranger had managed to make her way through her home without detection. “You there.” Her words were stern and the attitude was mirrored in her hard gaze. “How did you cross the bridge?” To Meg that was the only way the creature could have come to be here, unless she had wings hidden under those scales.
