Was she imagining it? Surely she couldn't be. The scent had come upon a gentle breeze, awaking her from an almost restless slumber. When was the last time she had had a good nights sleep anyway? Not when all the things that had gone on between her and Quilyan were on her mind, not when she had a new outlook on life and needed new ways to figure out how to cater to this lifestyle. She would be up until the wee hours of the morning pondering and tossing and turning to herself, in her cold, lonely bed. She missed company, she missed her friends, especially Cerin who she hadn't seen for almost a year now. Maybe he didn't like her anymore and he had decided to leave her? He wouldn't do that to her... would he?

Her precious mute boy, the one who was most likely a strapping young man now, the one who was with her in her time of need and held her when she cried. He had been her knight in shining armor, he had been the one she could tear the mask off for. Had Quilyan become a replacement for him, instead of just being someone she thought she could rely on? The thought brought tears to her eyes as she lifted her head, hazel eyes searching almost hopefully for any sign of the opalescent man. Then his scent came upon the wind again and she knew that he was here, somewhere in these parts. Though the musk was different, the staleness of the Throat just barely present, she knew that it was still him.

Soon she was standing and stumbling to gain her balance, wings fluttering upon her back in her typical sign of anxiety of something yet to come. She knew he couldn't call her, couldn't beckon with a strong baritone or soft falsetto, yet it was as if part of her felt that he was calling to her, reaching for her in his mind in a plea that she would at least come see him. Without a second thought she was running, working her long and lithe legs as hard as she could just to try and reach him faster than normal. How many hours they had missed, how many lonely nights he hadn't been there to show her everything was okay. Surely they could bring all of that back now, could make up for lost time and simply bask in each other and what they were, what they could be.

Then there he was, passing the glass wall that was shattered and broken, in the process of being rebuilt by the duteous crafters of her homeland, being careful in his footing and obviously searching for her. Eyes widened suddenly realizing that this was no dream, this was reality, and the scent of him and sight of him being here brought tears to those beautiful eyes. She cried out to him, sweat coming from her form from her labored sprint just to find him," CERIN!" She hadn't meant for it to come out so raw, so desperate in her tone, but perhaps she had been waiting longer than before he disappeared for him to come find her here. Maybe she was waiting for that the entire time. She nearly crashed into him with her embrace, her head fitting perfectly into the spot she always placed it, her neck tucking in beneath his chin as it always had, for they were two pieces of a puzzle that fit together oh so perfectly. Lips were freverent in their exploration of his body, feeling to make sure he was really there and alive, not some fevered dream she was having in the midst of the night.

The tears were falling hard, the sobs racking her beautifully curved sides, as she continued to feel him, to remember his scent upon her skin and cherish it always, in case he were to leave her again. What she had failed to notice upon seeing him, but now recognized when feeling his neck and mane, was that he had grown as much as she had. He was but a hand taller than her now, his foal-like features entirely dissipated, only to replaced by the strong build of a man. She could feel the taut ripple of muscle and sinew beneath her soft lips, could see the brilliant sheen of his pearled coat and how he had grown into it so beautifully. His shoulders were broader now, meant to endure more than her playful tackles that were now a distant memory. He was a stallion, and a handsome one at that. She let the tears subside and she slowly pulled back, sniffling and looking into those emerald eyes of this. No matter what changed between the two of them, physically or mentally, those beautiful eyes would always remain the same. She took comfort in that.

" Goodness Cerin..." she spoke breathily, still trying to catch her breath from the run and well... other things," Where have you been? You've had me worried sick! I... I thought that I lost you..." She turned her head away suddenly, shy and uncertain in what she meant by that entirely. Did she mean as a friend who didn't want to be friends anymore? In the sense that he had somehow gotten himself killed? Or perhaps... did she mean lost a lover? That thought caused a lump to fill in her throat, for her mind to be filled with uncertainty at what she was thinking. She had always cared for Cerin, they had had a little teenage fling in their foalhood even, but she had thought that as time went on and he was nowhere to be seen, that it had faded into nothing but a beautiful friendship.

Yet as she looked at him now her chest was aflame with a vivid warmth, it spreading to her entire body as she filled with the utmost joy at seeing him, and something else for that matter. The warmth she felt as she looked over his newly grown manly body was deeper in her stomach, burning hotter and causing something to rise in her. She couldn't quite put her finger on it, but it tugged at her from within and brought herself closer to him. His scent was invigorating and soothing all at once, fueling the heat that continued to rumble and boil deep within. It tickled and toyed with her mind, leaving her flustered and for her face to grow hot. The word was almost upon her lips, perhaps she needed to explore a little bit more in order to find out. She attempted to press against him again, to let her cheek press into the tender flesh of his shoulder, for her eyes to close and for her to just breathe him and who he was. Within that moment it clicked and it caused her eyes to open wide in surprise. Desire. It was now a rampant flame that could not be put out, licking at her heart and mind and begging for her to take some action.

She recoiled in thought at such an idea, taking a deep breath and pulling back from him once more. Surely her desire wasn't real. There had to be a reason behind it. Yet as she stared at his body and back into those eyes, her heart began to beat faster and she knew then what was attracting her attention. She swallowed hard, wondering how to even put it, how to address this issue she was having mentally. She wasn't supposed to delve into it and accept it or take advantage of it, but what was she supposed to do? She guessed she would just have to ignore it until she could find a way to suppress it on her own. So instead she smiled, looking deeply into those eyes she had come to love so much before speaking kindly," You've certainly... grown, Cerin." She swallowed again, praying to the Gods he didn't notice the visible change of demeanor.

OOC: I am so sorry... I told you she missed him XD
