R E I N His shoulder hurt. It was a sore pain, one that throbbed rather than sparked. When the violet girl had sunk her teeth into his skin, Nox was there to ease the pain, stop the bleeding, but the wound still remained. By now it had already scabbed over; his dark flesh was healing well. It would soon grow to be a delicate scar in the shape of two, small crescent moons facing one another, their edges jagged and golden, like he would grow to be. His mother hadn't seen it yet. He didn't want her to, either. In fact, he hadn't seen her since the blood-sucking incident had occurred (had it been days already?). He recalled telling her something along the lines of 'I'M GONNA GO VISIT DADDY, BYE!!' When in reality, that was never his true intention. He had planned to step outside the herd for a moment, long enough to track down a certain bug that hadn't frequented their cave in so long. But he wandered too far on accident, and decided he had gone too far to go back (go big or go home). But now he was back; back in the mountains, the snow, away from blood covered land and blood-lusting fillies. He wondered if his parents had seen each other, worried over his disappearance, or noticed he was gone at all. He wasn't ready to know. He had carefully avoided the golden and cream mare's presence since his return. Oh, but he knew confrontation is inevitable. He stood outside their cave, not knowing where she was, wondering whether or not he cared about that. The golden, blood splattered boy stared at the bugs that crawled in and out of the cave, kicked around some rocks by the cavern's mouth, and waited. He waited for the sun to go away, for the snow to melt, for his bugs and bats to come to him, and for his mother to chew him out. Fortunately, the boy was no stranger to patience. Unfortunately, he was unsure whether or not his acquaintance to forbearance would be useful now. @Rexanna /cue evil laughing son of a thief and a priest |
