Perhaps it is wrong to wander away from his sister’s side so quickly after his return, but, there is still that wanderlust burning in his chest. Libertad lumbers his way out of the Edge and towards whatever foreign land he might find. He knows should his sister crave his company she’ll simply need to follow his trail. A river of red trails after him as the roses bloom and then burst into vibrant pools of crimson. During his youth, the fright and uneasiness others displayed at his magic only ever left him confused. In time he has come to grasp the strange uneasiness that others radiate whenever they gaze at his beloved roses. The fear has almost become a game to him. Their grimaces and cringes bring almost a smile to his face, a simple amusement at times.
He draws to a strange scenery and his eyes drift around. His leonine tail twitches from left to right as he takes in his new surroundings. Slowly memories flood back to him.. Of frogs and games and other foals.. Mares screaming.. All of it had just been a game.. Just a frog and the had acted as if they murdered their first born. Libertad pauses and thinks on such violent things. He’ll never grasp why the strangers had reacted in such a way.. What had been so repulsive about an innocent game? Oh and he can remember the tears he shed as the strange colt stole the gift intended for his sister.. The flower that he had been so determined to display proudly to his twin. D’Arcy would’ve loved it, he thinks to himself. It only feeds that part of him that knows the only being worthy of his trust is his twin.. They are inseparable entities, two halves of a whole and only together are they complete. Yet, he still pauses when he sees yet another familiar face.. One who had cringed at the sight of his roses when he was a mere boy.
“You’ve only grown prettier,” Libertad says playfully as he tries to walk up behind the pale filly, a boyish grin painted across his lips.
