It brought the Goddess no small amount of pleasure to twist her brother's actions. Especially in front of his little pawns. She might be the smallest of them, the lightest and fairest, but she was certainly not the weakest. That title belonged to the largest of them. Her smile faded as her fiery brother faded into the distance, and her own eyes moved to her son.
Mesec.
Her darling child. Mesec the Nightwind, the kind, but also the dark. Did anyone understand the boy as clearly as she did? No .. the Goddess didn't think any could. Oh, she knew that it was not easy being her son, not easy being related to the Moon, after all, she was such a monster, wasn't she? Inwardly she rolled her eyes at the thought. Oh yes, such a fiend she was. Ha.
But enough about her, this was about her boy. Her handsome boy who was now stood before her, precariously close to falling off an edge that he couldn't even see.
"Now my dear, where shall we begin? With the monster within, or with the ones soon to be out?"
Her radiant gaze beamed with anticipation. Would he balk at her words? Would he be blindsided by his need to control himself, and so ignore whatever it was she was alluding to? Or would curiosity get the better of him? Would the inkling inside of himself become too large for Mesec to play at altruism?
She could only wait and see.
