With ease she navigated through the lush grass, making her way over to the rushing river. She'd heard the sound from a fair distance away but opted to weave through the grass, collecting the early morning dew on her coat. The feeling of the wet drops running down her legs, mixing with the salty sweat that coated her from flight was pleasant and refreshing. Even at a year old she was still gaining strength, flying as often as possible to gain strength and stamina. Duel coloured eyes were not focused on her target, instead they studied the world around her. The girl watched the way the trees in the far distance tilted in the wind, the grass twisting, twirling and dancing in the breeze and the water bubbling, splashing and shimmered in the early sunlight. It was a stunning morning, proving to be a fairly reasonable day, despite that fact that it was still winter. Altering her direction slightly she made a more direct line towards the river, the dryness in her throat becoming pesky. Arriving a the water's edge she took deep grateful gulps of the sweet water, relishing in the feeling of the cool water swirling down her throat. With drips running down her neck (washing away some of the sand of her homeland), the girl turned back to surveying the world around her.

A few months ago she'd given up the search for her long lost brother. Again he'd just disappeared but this time she doubted she'd ever see again. Through her magic she'd been trying to communicate with him through his dreams but either he was advising her by falling asleep at random time or had traveled far enough that her magic could no longer reach him. Trying to force the worry from her mind, the girl wondered what had processed her brother to leave this time? Where families always this tricky? Or was it only Hawke playing this vanishing act? Aelin supposed neither of her parents had been a constant influence in her life, her father had been around the most yet he'd been busy running the Throat. Her mother was...well Aelin wasn't sure where, she'd just hoped that she was alright. Along with being concerned for her brother's well being, her mother was also a concerning question. Lastly there were her two other siblings Rhoa, whom she simply adored and Zenobia who she'd met once and wasn't too sure about. The older girl scared her slightly, her over the top enthusiasm didn't sit well with Aelin. Still the moment Hawke, Zenobia and her mother returned to her she'd welcome them back with open arms...alothough perhaps not Zenobia, maybe just a kind smile for her older sister.

Returning to the cool water she took a few more gulps, purposely splashing so that the water washed away some more of the sand. Finishing at the stream she tilted her head back and surveyed the skye, the early morning birds circled above her. Stretching her wings she pondered joining them, only to give up on the idea. She'd never been particularly fond of birds.
