There are soon others. Other greedy bastards like Oizys, craving a power too great for any of them to comprehend. The child's ears flicker back, but that is the only sign she gives of her displeasure. A young white mare addresses her directly, and the gargoyle responds with a curt nod, not stopping from her wall-building. It is an exhausting task, and the girl's dull grey fur is soon glimmering with sweat.
Still more flood in, and Ker gives an irritated chirp on her bonded's behalf. A wolf made of spark sizzles nearby, and the filly fixes it with a hungry stare. She wants. Perhaps if she manages to help tame this errant orb, she will be granted with the ability to do that, and the thought fills her with renewed determination. A big blue stallion asks to help, and the girl shrugs. "Go for it, just don't mess it up." She shuffles over to make more room by her wall, and continues her building. The orb then begins to rise, and then reverses. The filly shies out of the way at a warning from her eagle, as Ker knows that touching the Thing means pain. Oizys studies this nemesis for a moment, wondering if it is truly alive and sentient or whether it is just a ball of energy acting on instinct and the currents of the air. Either way, it's trickier than she'd anticipated, and she thinks fast. She begins to snatch at the rocks from her first wall and transports them over to the other side of the area, in front of the orb's new flightpath. Like last time, she begins to build with the stones and help from Ker, her neck and back aching with the effort but her heart determined and her spirit strong. Perhaps if they keep doing this, keep corralling the orb whichever way it turns, it will grow bored and relinquish whatever prize it has to offer.
