He might've bellowed a roaring laugh, if the fate of a small creature didn't hang in the balance.

The mother fish spoke and his ears pressed forward, there are a lot of words that he struggles to follow. Though his time in the throat has improved his capability to follow the common tongue for extended periods of time. Sometimes? It's just too much, his ears want to flatten and his hind leg wishes to stamp against the dirt in frustration. He refrained and is rewarded in the end by the fish declaring she wants to play a game. A game? that is something he can at least agree to and follow.

A pity then, that it's announced as a game of intelligence and wit. Now, he's not a stallion devoid of a brain, his skills are not cunning or those that a spider would deploy to catch a fly, there is intelligence in warfare, in honing the body and knowing your enemy.
