Kind? How boring that would be

It was only a matter of time before Tyrath managed to wiggle his way out of the Dragon's Throat, with his brother in tow. What fun they would have! they could explore as they pleased and not spend their days, bellies in the sand staring at a particularly odd rock that may or may not look like a an odd object or a particular animal. No! they were free, free to explore and Tyrath was free to try his hand at being the big brother leading his little brother safely through the land, and what a proud big brother he was, trotting ahead and making sure there was nothing that would spook or scare them. Despite being merely days older than Astarot, it was a serious job for the older colt.

Together they would set out to find all sorts of things, get their hooves dirty and explore whatever took their fancy. No mothers and no carers to nicker in their ears, no sand, no boring rocks. Just wide open space and their imagination.

Tyrath had followed his usual path, up through the sands until they hit the river, and then struck out east. Who knew where they were going? He certainly wasn't about to tell Astarot that he didn't know where he was going, or perhaps they were lost when the thistles became less and less. He didn't utter a peep when suddenly the grass became strange stalks of narrow shoots reaching towards the sky, or when grassy meadows were more luscious than any his small eyes had laid themselves upon.

They'd figure it out, they weren't everyday foals, they were sons of Volterra! Failure did not sing in their blood, only victory however grand or small, he'd take it as a victory if they found something worthy or managed to get back out of this never ending green.

Some part of him wondered if he'd end up hating the damn colour by the end of this.

"Keep up, you're not getting tired are you?" His voice chimed, sing song and teasing toward his little brother, head thrown back to look over his petite shoulder as his wings ruffled at his sides. Pupilless eyes danced forward once more as he trotted into the nearby glade which had opened up after what seemed like hours stuck between the bamboo. A crystal clear pool greeted the pair, with a babbling waterfall flowing it's contents into the serene waters. The rocky outcrop that lay nearby, with a perfectly mossy plateau was an open invitation to  climb and stand upon. Tyrath moved forward, head dropping to look into the waters to see if there was anything within it. Perhaps some fish, or maybe a shiny gem? the carers spoke of gems in lakes guarded by water horses, or hidden treasure stashed by greedy unicorns and scheming equines of lands far away.

"This is pretty neat, right? Wonder if there's anything in there, whaddya think?" He mumbled, half-paying attention to his younger brother as his attention divided between. It wouldn't hurt to jump in and look. Then again, maybe it'd be more fun if he could lure his little brother closer and push him in instead, the thought bringing a small smirk to the colt's lips.
