Now I’m the King of Hearts? He chuckled, thinking about what the little unicorn has called him when his first met him, which was the Knight of Hearts.
Well I moved up quick. There must not be must competition around here. He turned to her and explained what was going on in his mind.
“Funny you should say that actually,” he spoke with a bit of flirtation in his voice.
“I had a small unicorn call me the Knight of Hearts the other day, and now I’m the King. Still, I’m honored my dear.” He did a bow with his head. He hoped he didn’t look ridiculous, because he was simply playing off the joke like he did with d’Artagnan and Sorcha.
“And Psyche.” He paused, letting the name ring in the air. He loved the ring it had.
“It’s a lovely name.” He looked at her, putting the name with the image. He didn’t quite now what to think of her, but there was something about her that attracted him to her, and he wasn’t quite sure if it was for good or bad reasons. He didn’t believe in love (hence him and cupid not getting along) but she made him think, that maybe something of that nature did indeed existed. Whatever it was, she would be an advantage to him, for better or worse.
(I just had to echo you, I thought it would be a bit of irony)
