Isopia

"Maybe some day you'll be able to do something similar." Isopia offered, sounding prophetic but not meaning to. She knew that Volterra possessed magic, as did Kid. If it was transferred through blood and this boy was indeed a child of Volterra's it made sense to think that perhaps there was magic in his future. Perhaps it was within him already.

"I didn't." The demi-goddess answered with a gentle shake of her quad-horned skull. "He was given to me. Though that isn't the normal way companions normally come to you." She mused, thinking about how each of her kin were simply handed their companions - and not just companions either. But Royal ones with markings far greater than those of the other royals. Or at least it seemed that way to her. Isopia didn't pay much attention to the companions of others.

Carers? Isopia thought that was a strange thing to call his parents - or so she assumed that's who it referred to, but said nothing. She only thought it was strange becuase that wasn't what children normally did say of their parents, but to the girl, 'carers' seemed a perfectly apt adjective.

And she found that despite the boy's lineage, she liked him. At least as much as she could like someone she had just met.

Her ears perked forward with polite interest as he mentioned a wolf attack. Perhaps this was supposed to stir up curiosity or that she should be impressed? but as such, she wasn't.

"You must be tired then." The demigoddess responded. With her rapid growth as a child, she didn't know what it was like to be fixed to the ground because her wings could not support her. Magic had come to her quickly as well. She had never felt limited, nor had she 'carers' the way the boy did.

On the ground Hubris plucked another blade of grass, placed it dextrously between his thumbs, and continued to try and blow and make a sound. Once again, he only succeeded in freezing it.

"These islands must seem a little dull to you, after a wolf fight."
