Brisa & Hikari

Change had never been a strong turning point for the alabaster mare. Times would change, things would change but she had yet felt the desire to change along with them until now. So many emotions clouded her mind as she walked alone with no one other than her bonded to keep her company. She had needed to get away, get away so that she might be able to take a breath without drowning in the sorrow her heart held within. Much had changed over the last few days and it was all too much to take, too much to process all at one time. First it had been the whispers of the forest calling out to her and telling her that she was indeed special before bestowing her with the wondrous gift of healing magic. While it had been a joyous occasion there was not without the sadness of the ancient tree giving up its life force in order to gift her with this treasure. There was every reason to mourn the death of one but also the life of another that would eventually grow in its place.

As if all that wasn't enough to wrap her mind around she also had somehow been appointed to Czarina of the Falls. Facing Kaj had been a challenge that her heart was still weeping over. At that point she had not been able to express the emotion of losing the love of her life yet having him stand there like nothing had happened between them. Of course it was only because the coward had stripped himself of the memories most dear to his heart, meanwhile leaving all others to bare the full weight of his decision. Letting the tears fall down the mare hung her head low shielding herself against the world with the help of her long forelock. Hikari yipped softly trying to get her bonded's attention not understanding why she was feeling this way. Over the last couple months she had learned a lot about this world but their bond was still developing and she was thankful that for now she was the only one having to bare the weight of this sorrow.

By the time they reached the shorelines of the beach the sun was setting over the ocean casting the lights rays into beautiful shades of orange, yellow and pink. Trying to pull herself together she tried to comfort the worries of her beloved kitsune so that she would not be upset any longer. Sooner or later she would have to return home to her new duties as leader of the Hidden Falls herd but for now she would let herself get lost in the oceans tides.
