Brisa & Hikari

The lights over the ocean and the lull of the waves dissipating along the shoreline was a calming coolness to the mare as she stood still along the coastside, her companion faithfully by her side. Her rapid breath and watering eyes took time to return to normal but they did after what seemed like an eternity. Wiping away the last remenants of her tears her head lowers allowing her to bury her muzzle into the soft fur atop Hikari's head. Feeling the young kitsune lean into her touch her heart swelled feeling the immense amount of concern radiate through their bond. "I'm ok now, there is no need to worry young one." She whispered softly so that it would grace only Hikari's sensitive hearing. Twisting her head up at the words the young pup nuzzled her face into hers with affection. Smiling down upon the pup she couldn't help but feel a surge of happiness re-enter her body, feeling foreign as it did so. Someday she would learn what it was like to be truly happy but today she could at least see the glimmer of hope upon the horizon.

Lifting her head again after awhile the white mare looked to the sky hoping to see the stars begin to light up the atmosphere. Searching the skyline to her disappointment she only found the odd one or two beginning to dot the slowly darkening sky. With a sigh she draws herself forwards into the tide before a voice catches her attention. Ears perked and turned to attention her blue eyes find the source rather quickly a little ways off down the beach. At first glance she sees a rather normal looking stallion but as she approaches slowly her eyes find quite the opposite.

Wickering softly in greeting the grey wades through the tide back onto dry land before stopping a few feet from the stranger. With the face and body of an equine she is not too sure on what to make of the rest of him with the long muscular tail and hindquarters. There is an obvious mix of something in his genes but as to what she cannot tell for sure, perhaps a kangaroo? Nah, that couldn't be possible... could it? Well the cork hat, bandana, long ears and strange feet had to be an indicator for something.

Deciding to keep an open mind she proceeds to shove all of her thoughts and worries from her mind. "Hello there, I'm Brisa and this is Hikari. Who are you?" She asked politely tipping her brow ever so slightly to the stud.
