Brisa & Hikari

Listening to Banj as he studied the unique features Hikari was gifted she laughed gently remembering that she too had had many questions upon her hatching. It hadn't been quite as bad for she had been fortunate enough to witness others with similar companions so she had at least known what they were supposed to be called. The five tails had taken her by surprise though as the last one she had seen had only had three if she remembered correctly. Helovia had taken her by surprise many times before and she doubted that there would ever be an end to the miraculous discoveries. It would be nice if the next discovery would be the one she had thought she had found within Kaj in the form of love. Her heart winced painfully at the fresh wounds this memory dragged back to the surface. Maybe someday she would learn what it is like to be loved by another being that you love with all your heart. While she couldn't completely say that she didn't have such a thing for she had the love of her son and Hikari, but that was something totally different that she couldn't quite describe.

"In case your wondering, Hikari is a creature called a Kitsune. A sort of hybrid fox so to say." She tried to explain without sounding totally crazy. It would take awhile for this newcomer to adjust to the ways of Helovia so she wanted to try and help things along the best she could. Deciding not to go into a speel about the whole companion and bonded basics stuff she turned her attention down to Hikari for a brief second who had inched a little bit closer to Banj to see what he was all about.

Drawn back by his answer to her previous question she nodded in silent approval thinking back to her memories of home before slamming that door shut. Home was not something she wanted to think about right now and opening that house of horrors would not do her any good in her particular state of mind. It would be better if her new friend didn't think she was some babbling psychopath with severe mental issues. Shaking her head slightly to clear the mess of her forelock away from her face she thought about the question that she was served with. What was she doing down here? She had run away from her problems and her feet naturally brought her here where she felt safe and comforted by the lull of the ocean. She couldn't very well give that as an answer so she chose something more appropriate instead. "I needed to clear my head with all the craziness going on lately so we came down here to watch the sunset." She replied with a gentle laugh.

"Do you have a home? I mean here in Helovia?" Curiosity got the better of her and she figured that it would be an appropriate question. If he asked about her home she would gladly tell him about it as she had nothing to hide other than her life's problems. There was something about Banj that made him seem easy to talk to. Perhaps it was his seemingly easy going attitude or his genuinely happy persona, whatever it was she was starting to like it and it helped her to think about other things than her problems.
