Fate whispers to him,
"You cannot withstand the storm."
Long legs of ink and gold bound alongside sister’s similarly dyed legs. Though he was not as enthralled with such endeavors as frolicking, Kia seemed to find such pleasure in it that it spilled over into the dark colt. So he ran alongside her, the yang to his yin, the dark star to his moonless night.

Their long legs moved in alien harmony, keeping a rhythm so completely that it nearly looked contrived. But infant foals couldn’t force such things, they simply were in unison with each other. Black hooves beat a haunting tempo as they fled from out beneath their mother’s watchful eye. But two gleaming, cerulean eyes and bounding, ferret-liked legs chase after the dark duo. Marembo, feeling their mother’s deep love for the twins and recognizing the dark mischievousness in them, forever watched and patrolled their young, ominous antics.

“Do you want to try and use it, Brother?” Before she even spoke, his dark-masked eyes were already turning towards her, just as he paused his pumping legs when she paused her her own dancing. Blue eyes met, and the darkling prince smirked, “I do, sister.” He need not ask what she was speaking of— he already knew she meant the darkness that sparked in his soul just as it flamed on her back— a slender back that drew is sharp gaze an animal flared in the flames. Appreciatively, he watched the tongues flicker, forming into long ears and soft tails as she moved away from him and towards a family of rabbits.

Closely, his dark eyes watched sister gently approach the bunnies. There was softness in her step, a faux-tenderness that he could not replicate. Thus was the difference that existed between the linked souls— what split them in two different bodies rather than together in one. And he enjoyed watching her, watching her strengths as she lured the adorable rodent victims towards her.

Her soft, gentle motions laid her in the grass not far from their prey—and Kianzo was suddenly hit with a pang to join alongside her soft, warm body in the grass. But he waited and watched, eyes reluctantly leaving his partner for the brown furry forms.

He nodded in approval, sister had chosen well. And he reached for the sparking, dark energy that was coiled inside of him. It wasn’t nearly as deep or difficult to reach, so young and shallow and dark was his soul. A deep breath through flared gilded nostrils, and then he cast the sparking darkness out.

Betraying the control his young mind had thought it felt, the magic exploded from his chest in three small clouds of ash, spooking the rabbits as the spun and tried to escape.

But the ash swamped them, held them, suspended them. And the furry creatures could not move, beady small eyes rimmed in white as fear exploded the youngest kit's heart, suddenly slumped in it’s suspended state of attempted flee. But the remainder two adults and four kittens were alive and trapped in their terror.

A slow smirk spread across his face, Perfect, sister,” though his murmur was quiet and mostly meant for himself, he still directed it towards Kiada.

Above, a hungry hawk keened, most interested in the frozen meals below it. The noise drew an ear and glance from the colt, but nothing more.
and he whispers back
"I am the storm."

@Kiada @Thranduil
fun fact: a baby bunny is called a kitten :O
Alos, he hasn't seen a hyena yet, so his magic is just ash clouds! >:D
