Even in the midst of emotional turmoil, Elsa couldn’t ignore her duties. The Goddess of the Moon had granted them the ability to receive a gift, one that would forever protect the Edge from invaders. Coming from the Falls, this meant the world to her. If she could successfully make the Edge safer, then another job would be complete.
With thoughts of Tembovu barred behind her mind, she moved towards the thicket they needed to clear. Thankfully, Tembovu had taken his duties elsewhere. If he had any mind, he’d leave her alone and not interfere. The last thing she needed was a public display of her hurt and anger towards him. Outwardly she remained cool, and unchanged. Around Tembovu… emotions just seemed to run too rampant.
Standing in front of the thick knots of bramble and thorns, she contemplated on how to continue. They couldn’t just dive in and hope for the best, so she went with the second idea. If she could freeze the shrubbery with her own magic, and the aid of Edgar, they could shatter and move. With the help of one or two others, they should have this cleared in no time. The sooner this was gone, the sooner the defenses could go up and the Edge could be protected.
She just had to repeat it over and over again… just do it for them, do it for them. Her personal motivation no longer existed. This isn’t for her anymore, she was just a vessel to carry out the orders. Edgar peeped solemnly in response to her dark thoughts.
