I'm Only Here For One Thing
Dark hooves dug into the stony earth beneath them. They carried a speckled bodice rather proudly, a thick neck arched as deep purple eyes surveyed everything sceptically. Calculating. Not out of fear, nor out of curiosity. He was simply making sure that nothing in the area looked better, or could threaten, to look better than him.
Glass Shards, if he had nothing else, had his pride. There wasn't much else to him, besides his vanity and self-absorbed attitude. If the conversation didn't revolve around him, then he wasn't interested. If there wasn't something to gain, he wasn't interested. He certainly wasn't interested in even looking at messy fellow equines.
A cool breeze tousled his cream mane and tail, and he took a deep breath. The mountain air was so crisp, so beautiful, and apparently unclaimed. The scent of anothers marking was not present. A welcome change. Though he didn't do much to avoid claimed lands. A little trouble every once in a while, spiced things up. Otherwise things were far too dull, and dull was unacceptable.
He was unsure what he was searching for in this place. Perhaps he was lonely, though his own maw would never admit such a thing. He only needed himself, is what he told himself. But on occasion, when the night was deep into its rule, and his eyes refused to rest. Memories of his past would invade his psyche, and till up memories he had long laid to rest. Those nights were unwelcomed, but to his fortune, far and few between.
He continued on his way, proud stance never wavering with each step, winding through the path that cut through the woods.
