The GOD of the SUN

Burn the whole world down

The God chuckled warmly as Tyrath seemed to find some obstacle within his words that he needed to overcome. His statement hadn't been offered as a challenge for the boy, and yet the boy had received it as such, seemingly trying to defend his right to be here. Had he also been criticizing those who sought only power and magic? The God exhaled, a smile still on his regal face. So young to already think he has so much to prove.. the God thought.

"Perhaps, perhaps. But there is nothing wrong in seeking magic and power. That is how many learn wisdom." Did the God's gaze flicker to Volterra for a moment as he said this? It was hard to be sure..

The Sun's ears perked forward as the boy mentioned Isopia, a girl who, by all descriptions by his brother, was not the outgoing type. Still, the report Tyrath gave was accurate, and the Sun's head bobbed in agreement. "Aithniel is indeed my daughter. My second daughter, for her older sister was called back into the light many seasons ago. Each of my kin has a .. representative here." The God paused, hating the word, but finding no real suitable replacement. "And Aithniel is mine." He gave no further information, falling pointedly silent. He didn't know why it was young Tyrath was so ignorant of his heritage...he did know that Aithniel preferred a more socialist means of raising her offspring (or so it seemed), but how was it that the boy was hearing this information second hand, from an aunt he didn't even know he had?

At Volterra's confused exclamation, the God shot him a curious (and the sort of disappointed stare that only a Father can produce) glance, before returning his attention to Tyrath.

I want to grow up strong and knowledgeable because there's not much point being a kid of Goddess if I'm all kinds of useless, right?

"There doesn't need to be any point to who you are, young one." The God said gently, stepping towards the boy and lowering his head slightly, his molten eyes locked upon the skull-marked colt. "You are free to be who, or whatever you choose. Your goals are admirable, but you are too young to be weighed down by obligation."

Having never had a grandchild before - especially one who wanted to know about him (who didn't already know about him?) - the God's smile broadened.

"Fire and light ... those are the elements over which I reign. If you wish to learn about them, and in so doing learn about me, so be it.  Find one who uses magic of my blessing for good, and one who uses it for evil ... do not judge them, merely understand their motives. Then, find three who have never heard of my blessings or powers and speak to them of me. But do not use your lineage to sway them. Speak of me in the abstract, not as your grandsire. Do you understand?"
