Bits of sand and earth fluttered around the two large bodies as the sun beat down upon them. Though Gaucho's muscles were tired - Nyx had put up a relatively good advance against him - they didn't scream with the satisfying whine of pain that he had wanted.

He needed.

His body was not tired enough to drown or drive away the memories of Ampere and Sohalia, and they both lingered on the surface of his primitive mind. Ampere had gone ... Sohalia had returned, but it was not into Gaucho's wings that she had found herself. And Nyx? Nyx was a distraction, one whose muscular and voluptuous body easily held his gaze, if not the totality of his attention. She was hard in the places he needed her to be hard, but his mind wondered and wandered. Would she also yield in the places he wanted her to yield ?

As with the conclusion of most of his spars, the adrenaline fuelled blood that had pumped through his muscles moments ago now found refuge in other areas, areas that transformed his battle fever into something with a more concrete goal.

The Wildfire stared at the mare, blue-gray gaze devoid of any sort of guilt or apprehension. He had been faithful to both Ampere and Sohalia in his own way, but he had now been abandoned yet again, by both of them, in different ways. So guilt did not factor into Gaucho's movements. Confusion perhaps, for if asked, the dun likely wouldn't be able to adequately articulate his motives, but that was alright. Gaucho was nothing if not instinctive. He didn't need words now.

Perhaps it was fitting that he had found Nyx, for wasn't she the closest to some sort of literal combination of the two mares who bombarded his thoughts? Wasn't she pale like Sohalia, with the electrical current and battle-body of Ampere? Taller though - Gaucho's eyes greedily skimmed Nyx's sweat-laden flanks, shoulder, and neck. The stallion had never been apologetic of his gaze, and now he let it roam freely around the contours of her body. His own dark pelt was laced with sweat as well, for the sun beat down relentlessly upon them. Though despite the heat, the warrior had no desire to cool himself in the waters of the Isles, nor to move away from Nyx's body which gave off considerable heat.

He was the Wildfire after all. The heat didn't bother him.

Their bodies had been pressed against each other again and again during the course of their spar, and yet as Gaucho moved towards her now, neck arched slightly, the proximity seemed wholly different. In the beginning he had wanted their bodies to collide and he had savoured the way the bombardment of the two had allowed pain to damped his thoughts. But now? Now he saw her as strength and electricity. He saw her not as Sohalia or Ampere, but that didn't matter.

She was here wasn't she? Maybe that was all that mattered.

@Nyx WEIRD. SORRY. IDK.

If this is to end in fire
Then we should all burn together
