The Endless Blue was comforting. The cry of the seagulls, the endless crashing of the waves against the beach, and the spray of the salt water against her skin always served to calm her no matter how frayed her nerves were. No matter how upset she was over something she could always go to the beach and listen to the waves and find some semblence of inner peace. It seemed, though, that she was going to the beach more and more often because she was just unhappy. It had nothing to do with the Edge or anyone there, she enjoyed her duty as Moon Doctor, she adored her friendship with Alysanne. She was just unhappy. Tallis flew overhead as he normally did, surveying the direction that Evangeline was walking in. He alerted her to anyone who might be lingering on the beach so she could decide whether or not she wanted to speak with them or if she wanted to be left alone. More often than not she was the only one on the beach, especially during the twilight hours. This time, however, the dragon notified her of a unicorn stallion farther up the beach. He flew lower so he could see the stallion better and alerted his bonded to the state that he appeared to be in. 'Dried blood. Maybe need healing.' The dragon had said as he circled back to his bonded. Being a healer Evangeline could not ignore someone who might potentially need healing. The orange mare sighed and trotted along the beach, searching for the stallion that Tallis had suggested might need to be healed. What she found was a lion sitting on a rock, but there was no one else on the beach. She frowned and looked around before noticing the hoof tracks heading toward the water. She ventured toward the ocean and stopped when the water lapped at her hooves. In the light that the rising moon provided she could see him among the waves. "Hello!" She called out to him. "Are you okay?" "."  |
