BY THE PRECEPTS OF HER PURITY

Yes, she had been jealous of Einarr. Einarr and his following of warriors that were here and there - and, well, basically everywhere. There was no need for her emotional rashness, of course, but that didn’t stop it either, no. She felt ashamed of it, let alone would she speak to anyone about it. Instead, she let it brew; grow like silky mushrooms underneath the canopy of her thoughts. Einarr… who had snorted in the blight of his empty words when she had done the effort of seeking out others who would be like her in a crowd of desert nobody’s. Taskless (Those who only wandered and sat on their behinds). Those who did not even sought her out for the possible enlightenment that she could provide for them, which would be such a crown to their petty existence. Why else would she stand here, after all, if she did not believe fully that she was serving the golden summit of the shimmering desert; the pillar of their world? She had said she was a priestess of the God of the Sun. She had never claimed or promised to be pure, she was just a servant; mortality glimmering like lost treasure within the sense of her usefulness, her trust was eternal.

“There are two more recent recruits to your flock, Tuppence, and another named Xolani.” Magaera’s words were the reason for Maren the Diviner to look out over the desert with a much anticipating look on her face. She had not heard of either of these names (assuming she still did not know the name of Xolani). The eagerness of meeting them almost felt like a burn in her throat. An eagerness accompanied by a chronic unease that had grown on her with the years; years in which she had learned that things never came the way she expected them to. Something that is not how I expect it… Has the potential to be much more. The longing was still there; licking her wounds like a drug. At least I won’t be alone in my duties any longer. The priestess already felt the Sun shining stronger on her coat, felt the reign of their religion elongating in the era’s to come. There was so much potential, it just needed to be.

She had send out her faithful companion; Mr.Teatime the Siberian Tiger, to go around their herd to make known that there was a meeting for those wishing to become apostles. So that he would be recognized, she had given him her Sun Amulet to carry with him. She lazily assumed that should suffice as enough prove for those who wanted to study the ways of their religion to follow him to the Diviner’s Fire. Of course the Tiger had insisted that he would also bring the teacup she had found along with him as he was born. She had simply shrugged and send him off. As long as he would find those who she sought, she did not care if he would’ve wanted to drag her boat with him as well. (Just don’t break it will you) She awaited them patiently, though a gloom lay looming over the burgundy shades of eyes, next to the crackling red flames.
