When that happened, the filly would find herself anxiously ferociously throwing herself into this project or that, accumulating (over the short month of her lifespan) a few little crafting projects. One or two had actually been completed; many and more were in various stages of disarray, tossed aside and forgotten when their creator found her new favorite distraction. A recent bout of restlessness had led to an entirely new idea, one that actually made its way to fruition - and its completion was the reason for her wanderings this afternoon.
"Pa!" the girl called in all her childish glory, excitement evident in the awkward lines of her body. Her ears swiveled this way and that, searching for a sign of the massive pegasus that was the WildFire. Not for the first time, she found herself wishing that she could fly. She imagined how easy it would be from way up there to search for anyone at all, and she longed for the day that she would lift herself (gracefully) from the sands and fly off into the dazzling sunset sky.
For someone so noticeable, Gaucho was certainly good at making himself difficult to find. For a month-old filly confined to the oasis and its surrounding sands, the task of hunting down the Sultan was even more difficult. Even so, the girl persevered, determined to locate her father and bestow upon him the gift that she had slaved over worked on laboriously for days. The girl adored her father, and her masterpiece was something of which she was incredibly proud. So excited was she to present it to him that she found herself running short of patience - where was he?
