How much time had passed? It is difficult to say, but her eventual return was (and always will be) inevitable.

Petyr soars ahead, of course, leading the way by many miles - his brilliant green form flitting amongst the trees and observing her family and her home while waiting for her to arrive. Some faces are missing and he notes these with a relatively cool and detached demeanor but he does not share them with her (knowing that at least one of those missing just might break her heart.) Many more remain and several are new. In fact, the herd itself seems to have exploded with foals - a number of which bearing an uncanny resemblance to Tembovu. The king of the Edge, it seems, has been quite busy. Hopefully he hadn't tried to kill anyone whilst she was gone. (Goodness knows the girl would be unable to sleep until she finds Mauja alive after all this time.)

Dusk was just beginning to settle in when the small, dark form entered the Edge, clinging to the shadows and moving as quietly as her small cat paws could manage. Her teal eyes are even more keen in this particular form, allowing her better clarity in this nearly grey, semi-dark light. Her thick fluffy coat and sharp claws had also proven useful a number of times during her journey.

The girl sticks close to the trees, prepared to launch herself up into one should the need arise. As usual, the purple passionflowers follow in her wake - leaving a trail that only some would know to follow. The fluffy black cat slips and slinks rather easily from tree to tree, pausing to blend with the darker shadows whenever a noise tickles her sensitive ears. Here in the Edge, Naerys is home but still she remains hidden in her newly found feline form. Perhaps out of fear, due to her rather sudden disappearance. Or perhaps due to her fondness for the ability to become inconspicuous - a mere shadow amongst the living.

Would she be seen?
Who would be the first to figure her out?
Naerys practically purrs with anticipation.
