Ice blue eyes dart from foal to foal to stallion to stallion. Ears, flicking forward and then backward- wondering what would come about next. It seemed as if everyone was in a bit of shock with the entrance of the great winged horse. Her eyes floated over him again. His brawny build. His color, nearly matching hers. His wings, wide and expansive. If there were more like him where he came from, she would not fit in. A winged Pegasus against a mere colored equine was no match. She would be grounded while they filled the skies. Surely not all horses in his herd were Pegasi though, or he wouldn't have come from her. The thought lingered in her mind only for a moment.
Her gaze then fell to the two weanlings. Young. Naive. Yet, still aged in wisdom it seemed. She couldn't convince herself to follow them, mostly for the fact that she didn't like children. But would there not be children in every home? Would she not eventually be required to bear children to keep her "home-land" alive? A shutter shook her petite form at the thought. Children were not Paradox's forte. Her eyes then fell to the white stag, as if on cue, he spoke. Describing him home land, the requirements, and the duties to be fulfilled. He seemed skittish of the winged stallion, and as if in a hurry, turned to depart as soon as his words were finished. His head low as if looking for something on his way back. Home? Surely, that's where he was going. With a quick glance back at the trio surrounding her, she gave a swift nod of acknowledgment and peeled around on dainty haunches following the stallion. To the Unbound she would commit herself. Maybe, just maybe, she would find solace and purpose there. |
