She came.
For him she always would.

Having sent Wynter away for the night she carried on alone, his whispers and words still fluttering in her stomach. Tonight she'd traveled light, none of her trinkets accompanied her, only her ruby pendant bumped at the base of her throat. While there was little urgency in her pace it was excitement that spurred her on. A secret rendezvous underneath the willows of the grove? It sounded awfully romantic, a time for just them to fully embrace each other. Ever since he'd returned Arah had wanted him to focus on getting better and enjoying being home. But now that he was home and willing to even travel from The Edge perhaps he had the strength for their relationship. Arah had never felt this way about someone before. This was really love, she knew it! The way her heart and mind reacted to his presence. The way she wanted to be in his thoughts and in his sight and of course Tilney infiltrated her thoughts. A smile curved her lips as she arrived at the Secret Grove, her eyes seeking out the face of the one she knew so well. A gentle breeze stirred and just for a moment she spied a flicker of light in the distance. It wasn't a particularly bright light - small and warm. Welcoming. Undoubtedly that was him.

Sucking in a deep breath she paused for a moment, her mind rushing through each of the possibilities. Unashamedly the silver doe had come with her heart on her sleeve, there was much she wanted to be said and moments that needed to be had. Wanting to be with someone was only natural, a need to be held and loved. The want for someone to give you their undivided attention even if it was only until the sun rose and life returned to normal. Although she was nervous, she was also eager. It made for an interesting combination of emotions swirling in her stomach. Ridiculous as it was. It was Tilney that waited for her, not a stranger.

Hooves started again as she began to make her way over to him. Somewhere concealed behind the willows lurked her chosen partner. It was no longer excitement that drove her, now it was something deeper. She took another breath, knowing hat just behind the foliage he lurked. Once her almost silent hooves had crept through the curtain of willow branches to reveal a perfect space to view the lake. He had chosen the horn of a small bay in the lake, her golden eyes surveyed it after she'd slunk through the drooped vines and leaves. The light was, as she'd suspected' being cast from his lantern, her eyes were drawn to the foliage that it lit. She smiled at the way he'd settled it at the base of the beautiful willow tree, the warm yellow and orange colours leaked out and stained their surroundings. Creating a romantic backlight for Tilney, she'd not struggled to spot him. "Hello stranger." There was no nervousness in her voice, it was the usual musical tones. The moment she'd seen him all worries and doubts about tonight and why he'd summoned her here had melted away. Now, to Arah, the only thing that mattered was the stallion before her. Offering him a shy smile she drew closer, elegantly bending her neck to reach out in an offered greeting.
