You think I'll be the dark sky
In all honesty, the filly hadn’t expected her brother to succumb to her wishes so easily. After all the anger she was sure he bottled up from her leaving him yet again seemed to dissipate as she commanded him to do something. It made her feel a little better, a little bit of pride billowing into her chest that all she really needed to do was simply tell him to do something, in one of those demanding tones that Mother often used, to get him to do something. But unlike Mother, he obeyed her. It made her feel powerful in a way that her tiny mind couldn’t explain, and it was far too invigorating.

Quickly, Kianzo turned his magic up toward the roof of the cave, picking off a few bats from the ceiling as their companions meals, before flicking an ear back at Keusi’s yip of excitement. Khairi was pleased as well, squawking a way of a “thanks” before diving in. Yet, they worked as if they were the same as well. As Keusi began to dig into the bat, Khairi began to shred the bat to pieces, tearing off little bits and pieces of meat and tossing them in the hyena cubs’ vicinity. All he really cared for were the bones of the bat, and he knew that giving the hyena cub his meat, she’d share her bones with him. And that was all he really cared for in this instance.

Meanwhile, Kianzo’s voice grew in the cave once again toward the old man, his ashen hyenas dispersing but the threat still undermining as her gaze left her brother for the old man again. She nodded softly to his meaning, waiting to see what the emerald eyed elder would have to say for it. The words he said seemed pointless to her, knowing full well that some magic was better than others. She continued to keep her gaze on him, though, as he stepped forward to allow his tiny worm to eat.

And soon, perhaps she had mistaken the elder for being a fool. Instead, he attempts to bargain with them. Though, she was far too young to understand the deeper meaning of his words, she simply rolled her eyes at him. “What fun would that be? You’ve already seen ours.” She added in, her voice taking on a darker tone. “I don’t care about seeing yours, now.” She noted, glancing over to Kianzo as she leaned into him slightly. “Besides, you don’t have to show us what you can do, you can tell us can’t you?” She questioned, cocking her head slightly as her flames continued to spew snakes and wolves in the frustration that lay beneath the surface.

"Talk."

@Kianzo @Albrecht

IT'S SAID SHE'S MADE OF STORM CELLS
AND A WILD WOLF'S HUNGRY HEART,
THAT SHE'S LEARNT THE LIGHTNING'S SECRET
TO RIPPING DARKENED SKIES APART.
