The young filly had not been with Ashamin and his band long, but already felt happier. She missed her family, her mother and father and her herd. Her wings, so much larger than the young filly, were clutched tightly against her sides. Her dark head lowered down to the grass beneath her hooves. She began to nibble at the grass, enjoying the tender shoots. Curved ears pricked as she heard the faint gurgle of a river. The blue roan spread her wings, stretching them to get the stiffness out of them from lack of use since she really never used them except to keep herself warm and for balance. Bright teal eyes watched around the meadow before she picked up her hooves and began to move towards the source of the sound. Her hooves picked up as she moved in a gentle trot towards the river's sound. Ink and ivory wings had been clutched back against her sides but were spread slightly to aid in balance should she start to tumble. White legs trotted in unison since they were on a diagonal from each other. The sound of the gurgling of the river grew louder and louder as she drew closer to the river. Curved ears were still facing forward as she moved ever closer. Upon reaching the river, the blue roan slowed her pace to a walk. Hooves reached the edge of the river, and teal blue eyes peered into the clear water. Picking up her front leg with the white sock, the filly cautiously placed it into the water. She slowly waded into the river one hoof at a time, wings lifting slightly to keep them from getting wet. Lifting a hoof slowly out of the water, the filly began to gently splash at the water. A smile lit her face as she did so. Rearing up to take both front legs out of the water, she also lifted her large wings up higher to keep them dry. Both front hooves splashed at the surface of the river, a giggle escaping the young filly. It had been so long since she had had a reason to laugh and play since the death of her parents. Her teal eyes flashed with amusement as she played in the water like a foal should do. Text. "Speech." |
