Hoofbeats thundered through the Threshold, hooves digging into the frozen ground. From her face hung a rope bridle that the young dove had not yet tried to remove in her dash for freedom. Her mind was on one thing and one thing only... Putting as much distance between herself and the humans that had attacked her home village. They were supposed to be safe, to have no worries. Her master had been a kind and sweet boy, painting her as it was tradition. His hand prints in blue, red and green still covered her flanks and face. He had been so proud....
It had been as the Chief of the Village had said she was his and the boy was now a man that the attack began. Men with more horses that had strange things attached to them attacked. The sounds around her became chaos. As the boy had leaped to her back to join the fight a bang noise happened right at Naomi's head. A man in strange coverings held a strange thing that it seemed to of been aimed right at her boy.... In rage she leaped forward, teeth sinking into the man's arm and pulling him to the ground. It was only then she felt the warm liquid coating her belly. She turned to see her boy on the ground.. A red liquid, the same that now poured from the boy's body covered her belly as well. Gently she moved to his side, nosing him. He was dead, a bullet to the heart. Her eyes widened at the smell of death. It was then she took off running......
It had been the running that brought her here. Sweaty, paint and blood covered dappled grey coat. Part of her mane was matted as well. With the smell of death long gone she slowed before stopping. It seemed to be the middle of FrostFall here.... Even though in her own lands FrostFall had merely begun. She shivered gently, in shock and cold. Her mind of course still spinning. She needed a home, and a place to get cleaned up....
