Luciérnaga
so we treat our love like a fire-fly

She followed the black and red marked stallion silently. Wide, golden eyes taking in everything they passed. This was all so new- so different. It seemed they passed through many forests, down many valleys, and up many mountains. All this walking was making her exhausted, and honestly, she was somewhat agitated about the fact that she could've made the distance in half the time if she had flew. Sweat was clinging to her purple flanks and dappled her neck under her soft lavender locks. Where she had came from, everyone flew everywhere. Here, it was apparently different. Which, I guess that's what she got for choosing to follow a horse without wings. A soft giggle passed her lips and before she knew it, her nares caught a familiar scent. It was the smell that had clung to the coat of Sacre. The smell of what was now her home.

Luci paused. Her inquisitive eyes taking in the World's Edge. A glass wall separates the area from the outside and she is amazed at the talent it must've taken to build such a thing. Thick forestry covers everything, and suddenly she feels she might be constrained here. Where could she stretch her wings in fly? How could she stretch her wings and fly amongst all these trees? Absorbed in her thoughts, she hadn't realized that the stallion she had been following vanished. Her audits flickered forward and sideways in confusion. Eyes darting this way and that in search of the black fox boy. Sacre? She called out, her voice wavering with anxiety. No reply. He was, indeed, gone. Heart rate accelerates a bit as she begins to panic. How will she know where to go? What if others don't believe she's really be brought here by him? Tears brim in her eyes.

She lowers her dainty skull and begins walking, following the edge of the glass wall until she comes to a narrow opening. Eyes follow it all the way up, ending up towards the sky- This must be some sort of protective measure. But what was so dangerous that they would near protecting from here? Again, panic grips her heart. She slowly enters the passageway, her heart racing. Tears finally breaking the dam of eye lids and slowly trickling down her cheeks. She felt lost. She felt alone. Luciérnaga had finally felt excited about something when she met Sacre. Months of wondering alone had left her afraid and tired, and now he showed the promise of something new. Of a home, of friends. And just like that he had vanished and she was here- alone again in an unknown forest.

Eyes scan the area constantly, audits flickering to catch every little sound that surrounds her. Tall trees loom overhead, but she is actually thankful for them because they block the heat of the blazing sun. It is quite a bit cooler inside their shade. But- the sun is starting its descent in the sky, and before long she will be in total darkness. In a forest where she knows no one. She continues forward, moving at a fairly quick place as she searches for some form of life. Before long, the tree line breaks and she skids to a halt on the edge of a hefty cliff. Her breath catches in her throat and her eyes widen- World's Edge. Now this- this is what she was looking for. She leapt into the air, darting off the edge of the cliff, sheer wings folded against her back as she drove down towards the rocky waters. Spreading them only feet from the water, she caught the wind and glided smoothly across the top of the water, golden toes dipping gently into the waves. An elated glee escaped her lips, and suddenly she was carefree again. Lost in the joy of flying.
