Life in the west had provided the most perfect recovery for the cursed gentleman, though he was terribly afeared of being discovered. His ailment that was - the disgraceful curse that would have him thrown from the cliff of his new herd land (or worse).
The fact was that he was well practised in the art of hiding any trace of blood from his coat and clearing the stains of callous crime from his ever-clean teeth, and the gentleman was also quite the master when it came to picking his prey. Perhaps he shamelessly gorged on the blood of unsuspecting forest creatures, or perhaps he was the perpetrator of more heinous crimes.

Another fact was that Toulouse knew that no one could help him, nothing would make him better. There was no break through, he would forever live in shades of vermillion.

"Such is life" it caused him to chant at the indian paintbrush, an exasperated sigh slipping through his pale lips.

Why was he here in the Blood Falls though of all places? Surely it was not to colour his world red twice over.
No, it was because he had merely wanted to see if it really was blood. Why would a vampire wish to live anywhere else or cause any more harm when all the blood he needed could be drunk like water from a river.

Just like naked bodies looked like porcelain, the blood falls looked like the most rich kind of watercolour painting. Toulouse set his wheat-coloured hooves into the strange coloured grass and observed it, again sighing when he noticed it gave no overwhelming scent of blood. It was water stained by the shadow of overhanging trees.
Angrily the flaxen lad slammed a hoof into the ruby rush, watching the red splashes envelop his forelegs. It was not blood at all; he would have to continue maiming the creatures of the forest like a lion in order to survive. A predator he would remain.

Straightening himself up, Toulouse shook his coat and gave a short-lived snort through his nostrils. The cold air was beautifully refreshing, and the place was incredibly beautiful. He'd stay the night, hunt in the morning, and then home to the Edge.
