A shiver ran down her spine. Here she was again. Well, perhaps not here. The girl giddily thought to herself, the moment and excitement making her practically float across the ground in a high springing trot. No she hadn’t been here before, but that was the whole point! For the long lazy summer months she had curled up in the hidden branches of the Falls. The days had been spent drifting through like in a dream, letting the world pass by and the summer sun warmth soak into her bones.

The season was finally ending though, and the change served as a wake up call. That time was passing, and there were things she had yet to do…to see. She remembered she was here to explore, and how little she had yet seen. And taking up that mission seemed to place at easy all the unease wiggling in her about the words, family, home, and time.

Down a long meadow she’d travelled, the autumn breeze blow up from behind her, cutting now and then through her own breeze to chill the child to her bones. But she didn’t feel it. Her body was shivering but not from the cold. No, she was shivering with excitement. With the promise of something new, someone to talk to. No more quiet days, she was feeling the impulse to go again and explore! With the coming cold her mind chided her that she should tuck in at home, but what better way to escape the cold than to come somewhere warmer? So she was headed where she spent the last winter, the caves. Only…she couldn’t quite remember where they were.

So that found her here. Following a creek, well now river, towards the coast. But that didn’t stop the child, oh no, her heart was ever light, and so it shall remain. On she went for the day till the hour drew late and the world was thrown into the golden glow of late afternoon.

Shaking her head playfully, the child pulled up to a walk, the wind still pulling forward at her mane. In its familiar touches her smile grows and wings stretch out. The pearl, by the rolling river, let her wings, guarded as they were, stretch full length, feeling each tip reach and soak up the late sun before they flap several times. Her heart sighed as she lets them lazily pull back to her, and hang loosely at her sides, the tips brushing the ground.

Her heart beat fast and light with her travels, but always at this time of day a weight, unfamiliar and uncomfortable, pressed her. It was times like these she would go to the fields in the falls to graze with others…to hear them talk, usually just to listen. The smile of the girl falls ever slightly, as one grain of truth seeps to her. She hadn’t exactly met anyone yet…If she were to search deeper, perhaps she’d find that that was what she truly was looking for. Not adventure, but a friend, or at least someone who would talk back unlike redbirds, fish, and…trees. But this was the pearl, the child, and she does not dwell deeper. Instead her mind looks to the growing shadows, wondering if perhaps the ending of the day might draw others out as well.

"This was an unexpected color option. "

OOC:: Yeah for exploring again! This is at the river to the side of the caves. @Iskra @Zèklè
