Sabia
It was a beautiful day that would turn bad. The sky was blue and the sun was shining with a dull hue, however far off on the horizon a storm was blowing in. The clouds were dark and heavy with promised rain lightning spidered across the sky occasionally and a clap of thunder would follow. A storm was on its way. The waves here calm for now and lapped calmly at the sands creating a peaceful sound, almost like a dream.
Sabia had thought it was a dream when her green gaze landed on it. The mare was well into her pregnancy and against the wishes of her fellow Throat members had kept leaving the throat to find somewhere peaceful. Sabia waddled and her sides made her look like a grey grape, plump and swollen, the little thing growing inside caused many problems for Sabia with her work AND with her mind. Sabia wasn't sure she would keep it, maybe give it away. The mare wasn't sure she could look at it everyday and not think about the crime that was committed when the foal was conceived, yet she had already picked out a name. Saoirse.
Sabia had lowered her swollen self onto the warm sand and laid her legs out in front of her. The gentle waves lapped at her hooves with gentle melodic sounds and for once she felt at peace. The mare couldn't help but close her eyes and spread her wings to bathe in the warn sun. "What will we do my little Saoirse?" Her voice was gentle and kind as she felt little hooves push on her sides, maybe the foal enjoyed the warm sands on her belly.
The mare and her child lay there in a peaceful state of contemplation. Who knows hoshe would stay there, but for now it was silent and peaceful. Sabia even started a gentle hum, perhaps her little Saoirse would like it.
