Valentine heard the equine speak, and didn’t have a chance to respond. The Heart seemed to be beating, and in it’s beats he moved faster, as if it was racing. Lava started to pour out from the Heart and cracks around him. Valentine quickly stood, remembering how he nearly lost his live at the Frozen Arch. Now he might lose it in fire inside of ice.
Which would I like to die in, Fire or Ice? Truthfully, I don’t want to find out the answer to that. The rocks beneath him started to move, as the lava ran underneath, cutting the rock like a sharpen sword. He felt it move and he knew he needed to act quickly. He pushed off of the rock and jumped on the next. Open flame was exposed and got him on his left leg. He felt the skin burn, and he almost lost his balance in midair because of the flame. He landed lop sided on the rock, moving his body in the opposite direction. He almost didn’t do it, and he moved the rock again, exposing the flames. More flames burst around him and he felt burned all over. There was pain everywhere, and he felt almost like he was being burned alive. He jumped over a gap in the rock he was on and more stable rock. He hit hard, feeling his muscles stretch like they shouldn’t, but didn’t stop, and ran to safer ground. When he was out of the flames his body stopped and he fell, his legs giving out. He hit the rocky ground with the left side of his body, and he could feel that something had impaled him on his flank. There were ringing in his ears, and he didn’t know if he was alright or not. He slowly sat up and looked. He was burning, that was for sure. He tail wasn’t touched surprisingly, but he had burns all over his legs and on his body. The flames had burned his coat off, and formed bloody patches mixed with redden pinkish skin. He moaned, feeling a pain greater than he had felt. He didn’t know what to do. He completely forgot about the other stallion there, and he wanted to lie there and figure out how to get home. Who would help him?
