The situation was beyond strange. The Heart swallowed them, sent them on a journey to.. somewhere, that was first scary, then interesting and increasingly boring, only to drop them God's knew where. Though it was probable that the gods actually knew precisely where this was, and while it was only a small comfort, it was at least a comfort.

Lace found himself lost for words where he stood, staring down at the strange little creature that was the cause of this rather unusual situation. Should he laugh or frown at the improper actions of the creature, the... the...yeah, or should he just ignore it? He threw a sideways glance at the unicorn stallion, wondering if the unfortunately marked stranger would eat it. I wouldn't he commented almost casually to the dragon. I'd rather burn in the Heart for the rest of the year than eat it. Surely he won't do it.

Considering the set of events, the grullo felt remarkably calm. He knew it was probably something like shock, which sometimes had the effect on numbing emotions and making a situation appear crystal clear and perfectly reasonable even though, in reality, nothing made sense whatsoever. For the sake of his mental health, he decided that it had to be a dream. Yes, it was nothing but a dream. He had fallen asleep by the Heart, and now he was having a dream that he would wake up from - right? - and when he did, he'd have to tell Mirage about this. She'd laugh, for sure...

Clearing his throat, the equine shifted the weight between his feet for a moment, then opened the mouth to ask the question that seemed most vital at the moment.
"Excuse me.. hm, Bob. Might I ask why we've been given the honor to come here?" It was surely not a sign of his rattled state that the voice was perfectly steady and incredibly pleasant. Nor should there be a problem with the choice of words, even though they were almost sickeningly sweet and patiently polite. It was only the faint sound at the back of his mind of a voice screaming how utterly wrong the scene was that left him with a small sense of unease, as if a horrible situation had only just begun. He'd have to sort this out with himself when he got back home. Because he would get back, for sure. Right?
