Apparently if she was going to run this herd, she was doing it alone.
Had she seen Archibald in weeks? No.
Had she seen their head sleuth? No.
Had she seen her lead warrior do anything but demand that those beneath her spar each other, or her if they wanted a higher title (yet surprisingly neither of those things seemed to happen)? No.
Her Father had made her the captain of a sinking ship, and though Isopia's motives were not fueled by pride, she would not see this endeavor fail, if there was anything she could do about it.
So she ventured North. The outcome of this rendezvous was not entirely meaningful to Isopia. Either the Basin would deem themselves an enemy, an a friend, or a neutral party. Theft had been on the rise again, the demi-goddess was eager to know which of her borders required extra eyes.
Yet diplomacy, for all of her hours of study, was not an especially well honed skill of hers. Perhaps it would be in time, but this encounter was likely to be rough at best.
Isopia landed in what would surely become a winter wonderland in the next few months. As it was, Orangemoon seemingly kept the worst of the snow drifts at bay, and she was able to walk towards the entrance of the Basin. She had heard stories about the sentinels that guarded the Basin's borders, and while she had no idea whether or not they still functioned, diplomacy as well as a healthy respect for her own life, halted her a respectful distance away. Her red cape billowed out elegantly behind her, as her amber eyes scoured what appeared to her to be a barren wasteland. How did any one survive here? And perhaps more importantly, why would they choose to? On her shoulder, Hubris tittered and gently pulled her mane to discourage this line of thinking. >>We live in wet jungle.
