It was the swans very voice that caused his skin to twitch, eyelids to tremble. Perhaps it was only out of luck that he stood over a patient who took most of his concentration and attention, but in the back of earshot was the gentle breaths of a girl he had formerly called Alph. His one time ward he had believed her to be, guiding her beneath these very moss covered vines and pines only to one day be told it meant nothing to her and that they were strangers.
The ungrateful girl would remain a shadow behind him for the remainder of this union of two doctors and a patient, a demon he dare not taunt.

It was then the Icy girl began to properly speak, describe her pain. He could only do his best to ease her pain with the power mother moon granted him for now, and he did not feel comfortable leaving her alone in her state to fetch some cedar.
There was a heartwood concoction in the greenhouse he had prepared from the trunk of a fallen cedar that contained wondrous general anaesthetic properties. If only he had a pair of wings (or two) he could fetch it immediately - it would take no time at all to be at the greenhouse  with a flap of your wings, where as it was quite the journey on foot.
The very candidate for the task announced she was leaving to fetch lavender and birch. Two plants that might as well be fairies or grumpkins, they simply didn't exist in this part of Helovia where mist and conifers ruled.

"No you're not" it came like vomit from his mouth, "You wont find birch or lavender here, this is a coniferous forest. Birch is deciduous, and lavender only thrives in warmth" And with that, he glanced around to the sub-zero celcius mist seeping around their ankles and choking their hooves. Anywhere but the swans medics countenance.

"There is a concoction of cedar heartwood in the greenhouse, it is a powerful anaesthetic. Would you mind fetching that-" he paused, attempting to swallow the great lump in his throat,
"-For Erthë?" not for me.

That girl of ice soon began to speak again, this time of Tembovu. She wanted to speak with him, but that was not something Tilney would let her prioritise right now, nor words with Alysanne or Alune. They could all wait until she was rested and completely free from deaths cold grips. His mind now fixated on his patients words, Tilneys brows furrowed when the girl became panicked. Erthë had stood, Tilney rushing to stand under her left wing in case she was to fall but still the panic ensued. The patient became almost epileptic, screeching warnings and trembling against the flaxen physician.
"Erthë!" Tilney shouted, green eyes searching for hers as she shook and screamed "Erthë, Damnit, snap out of it!" He swung his lantern before her eyelids, hoping it would wake her from the vicious trance holding her mind captive. She had spoken of telling Tembovu, that had triggered her into this madness - perhaps she ought to just tell him. "What happened Erthë? What has happened to you" was his whisper, verdant gaze watching for hers as he began to guide her towards the safety of Trewdwellan.
"We need to get you out of this weather, Some place safe"

(Trewdwellan = his cave under the tree where he lives with Maudeeeyyy! also referencing the land guide worlds edge.)
