Mauja the FrostHeart
ice cold man watches earth die, eternal winter takes its reign

Mauja sometimes took spontaneous walks, in which his means of navigating were restricted to "follow your horn". Following your horn made for an impulsive and often straight path, but perhaps not as straight as you might think - if something caught his attention to the side, he looked in its direction, and suddenly the direction of his horn had changed. It was an excellent means of enjoying yourself and exercising both body and mind. Thoughts turned at different speed when walking, and the clarity that often eluded him when he stood still struck him when he moved. It was not surprising, though; horses were creatures of movement. Movement meant life. Mauja enjoyed being alive, both physically and mentally.

Sometimes he envied the Foothills their proximity to the Threshold, but at most times he found the walk pleasant and rewarding. Curious things happened on the way, he got to flaunt his pale hide at strangers, but most of all, he wasn't a stranger himself. The more he moved about, the more would know of him, and he could see little bad coming from that. After all, what was a King if no one knew his name and his realm? And so it was with a smile, despite the sweltering heat that darkened his coat and hammered in his head, that Mauja the FrostHeart followed the scent of a mare and a stallion. He knew neither, and figured the mare was an equine, possibly something else though. She smelled heavily of the Foothills, and that made her an enemy, but nothing of the sort was written on his face when he swept into view, towering and regal.

"Mauja the FrostHeart, King of World's Edge," he interjected smoothly, ears still swiveling to the aftermath of Aurelius' voice. "We'd best do something about the weather, don't you think?" The question was aimed at both of them, for he had not simply ignored her; hornless as she was, he didn't care for offending the other herds and turning them against him. Let them play their game of hugging and loving, and let him mass shadows when they weren't looking. His blue eyes blinked, a small smile on his face; Mauja's head tilted slightly as he came to a stop in the shadows, tail flickering against his hocks. Here, where the sun didn't touch him, it was harder to see the fine mesh of frost across his horn and hooves, but it was there. Briefly he peered down at his own feet, before looking up at the ram-horned unicorn again. Perhaps he should send an ice spike into their midst. It might chill them off before it melted. Then again... he guessed it could be a bit..startling.
angels, they fell first, but I'm still here
