What doesn't kill me better run. "Stop whining, you harpy." Ralik snorted at the mare as she complained yet again about their situation. It wasn't the first time that the brothers had been shipwrecked, it was just the first time the'd been shipwrecked with the wench. She acted like it was the end of days instead of just a temporary inconvenience -- one that was likely to happen many more times in the course of their existence. There was never any doubt about whether or not Huldra was ever angry with them. She always tended to carry herself in the way she currently was. Usually he found it hard to focus on what she was saying and why she was angry because her twitching tail always drew his attention to her hindquarters and the way they swayed as she walked. But this time was different. She'd harped on them from the time they'd dragged their hung over asses off the beach and she just wouldn't let up. "Maybe." Ralik replied with a carless shrug of his shoulders. He and Tarik had traveled all around before they'd taken on Huldra, so it was possible that they'd been here before and couldn't remember.... there was a lot that they couldn't remember. It didn't matter, though, because he doubted that they would be staying long -- they never did. He walked on quietly for a few more minutes before sighing loudly. "I need a drink." He said. "But someone was too busy panicking to think about saving the drink." And now it was all gone, lost to the briny ocean currents. "." |
