ENGINEERS CREATE THAT WHICH HAS NEVER BEEN

The engineer listened to the words of the King, and he watched the way the large grey blew air from his lungs. Ulrik's bronze eyes settled darkly on his, standing still as a statue. Apparently the God of the Moon was behind this nonsense, and Ulrik blew a heavy and irritated breath from his nostrils. The mad stallion shot a glare up at the sky before shaking his heavy, black mane and stomping a hoof in the dirt.

"My ears are deaf to the words of the gods, especially when those words are folly," he grunted in his deep tones. "Though your choices are understandable. The Goddess of the Moon is our patron, of sorts." Ulrik flicked his leonine tail around his hocks and his demeanor settled. "You have no quarrel with me, King."

With that said, Ulrik let his bronze eyes settled once more on Lotus and listened to her words. She was overly concerned with the affairs of the immortals. Immortals whose brains were filled with clouds and air. "The gods will do what they will. We are powerless against their might. What can we do?" The whispers of another caught the engineer's hearing, and he turned his head to the side slowly. A silver one, buried in ashen grey, appeared before them.

Like himself, this grey-one had the traditional trappings of a unicorn, and Ulrik jerked his head up, the two crows upon his brow seemingly touching the sky. That was his greeting to the newcomer, for he was not one for words.
