The restless birds flapped around with greater agitation for every bold move by the surrounding horses. Erthë kept her eyes trained on the orb as best she could, but before long she saw the ball knocked about and gasped, lunging forward in an attempt to snatch it before it disappeared.

Too late. It was gone, and the clucking, panicky birds ran all about her feet like a feathery river, making it nigh impossible to even move. Erthë scoured the ground for any sign of the shining object, all until something came upon them from the north, flaming bright and speaking in a manner that made her ears flatten against the poll with irritation. She couldn't even honestly say she was surprised to see the creatures; after a lifetime of constantly running into weird shit Erthë had grown jaded, her bar for 'unsettling and strange' raised to critical levels. It would take a lot more than burning foxes to make her bat an eye... Though, she had to admit that herding turkeys might be one of the stupider things she had ever agreed to in her life.

Eyeing the orb in the most vocal foxes paws with uncharacteristic greed, the young mare snorted and flapped her own wings as the agitated birds began to move south, clearing off enough space around herself that she was able to take flight. She set off to the east after a gaggle of turkeys that had escaped that way, and attempted to make them turn enough south by flying low and snapping her tail like a fluffy whip before their ugly faces.

Hopefully this wouldn't take too long... She felt ridiculous and muttered beneath her breath to herself as she worked, thinking this orb better be worth the trouble... or she would stop showing up to these events.

It isn't what they say about you
It's what they whisper in the dark

Summary: Erthë takes to the sky to herd a gaggle of birds that tried to go east, trying to make them turn south by flying low and swatting her tail at them.

"That bird known as turkey
Not much of a looker
They're best served as jerky
Go ready the cooker"
