Isopia blinked. For a moment the colt's exuberance and stream of questions made her think of Zero, and her heart clenched at the memory. She envisioned a time when they were both younger - and she at least, a great deal smaller. She remembered how they played and laughed and ran. How Zero's questions had never ended, and had been asked with the same joyful and interested expression she now saw on the young bi-horned unicorn's face. It made her soul ache for her friend and the way he made her feel lighter.

Hubris, always a fan of attention, trilled again and waved happily. He opened his jaws releasing a stream of ice, which he then promptly shocked with a burst of electricity. Bits of snow fell down from the stream and the smell of electricity filled the air, as Hubris clapped his clawed hands and grinned. "He is called Hubris." Isopia replied, not missing the irony of the bronze creature's display and what she had decided to call him so early on.

She ignored the boy's reference to her specialness. It wasn't that she necessarily disagreed--she obviously was special, in a sense--but moreso she simply did not wish to draw attention to her differences.

The demi-goddess' ears perked forward as the boy mentioned the lack of care for the Gods. In truth, Isopia was guilty of what he alleged: had she ever asked her Father how he was feeling? Very likely not, but then again, Isopia rarely asked that of anyone. But Mesec? Aithniel? Roskuld? She found it hard to believe any of her cousins asked about the well-fair of their parents. Perhaps the boy had a point.

"Perhaps it is because so many know that even where they to ask about the mental states of the Gods, there would be nothing that they could do to alleviate any of their suffering." She offered with a small shrug, not sure if she believed that herself.

His next question made her smile slightly, and though he was young, she did not curb her words. "Because they are also selfish. Without us, what would they do? They would have no herds to look after, no worshipers to praise. How would they fill their days? They need us just as we need them, though they rarely come out and say it. Some of them enjoy our company, but they also need it, too."

Was such a thing blasphemous to say? Isopia didn't care.

"The Moon Godess is ... fair." Isopia replied thoughtfully, thinking back to her previous interactions with the Goddess, and all that she knew of her. "And she is bold. She is not afraid to do what she needs to do, even when her decisions are unpopular. She is very clever, and I believe her when she says that she does what is in our best interest. Sometimes, because we are mortal, we do not know what is best for us. We are short sighted. The Gods are not as limited, and so sometimes their decisions seem cruel or unjust." Isopia shrugged, thinking of all those lives which the Goddess took. "But everything happens for a reason." She concluded, her golden eyes deep and confident.
