Ru tilts her head upon waiting, taking in the changes of the King’s facial expressions from where she stood. Perhaps awaiting a scalding remark, or a comment of some sort that pressed the fact of her half-mute state out into the open. Sealing the disclosure for a permanent presence.

The girl doesn’t expect his suggestion of gods. The feathered mare has heard so little of them, has not dealt with their presence – besides the small happenings of Kisamoa. If the King thinks it’s worth a try, worth even mentioning, a glimmer of unexpected hope softens her gaze. Sends her pulse bounding.

The dunskin smiles widely and nods her head – forgetting to stay her tongue, as it leaps into a warbled sound of nothing.

“Ah!”

Yes! Her gaze does not abate the subtle shift of desire, and want that adds to the excited swoosh from her swaying tail. In most circumstances, Ru might have shied from her vocalization. It gave off a constant, childish perception, one that did not exude a warrior.

But it’s news, and it’s the first bit of news that feels promising. Because gods can do anything – can’t they?

As the stallion continues, she nods in agreement. Humming in amusement for a brief moment. He was not the first to have called her by that name, though it did sound fairly unique in the tongue he spoke of. But from where, she could not place. It was the first time she had ever heard of it.

What of the gods?

She shuffled in her spot, infused with a restlessness and desire to contact these beings. How she could approach them, if they would listen…

These questions roll out on her tongue in an inquisitive coo. Perhaps he will explain the how. Ru will just need to find a little more patience to wait out, and hope that he might divulge in this opportunity she so clearly wanted to explore.
